Photo Opps

An newer picture of Tye and Zeppelin

Hospice memorial service

Same day as the memorial service...Tye wanted to help me put up the lights, and I had my sunglasses on because it was so bright out, so he went in and came back out with these goggles on! It was too funny!
The kids and I strung popcorn garlands for the tree at the cemetery...well, I should say that the girls strung the garland and Tye ate the popcorn!
I was trying to be as positive as I can on this post, but seeing this picture just infuriates me that a little boy has to decorate Daddy's garden for Christmas instead of having a snowball fight or going sledding with him!

Tye was all gung ho on the tree decorations. While Rachel and I were wrestling the lights, Tye took a whole bunch of ornaments out of the boxes, just kind of strung them everywhere! The majority of our ornaments are on the bottom half of the tree! He broke a few also...

He insisted that he was going to put the star on the tree. I thought for a moment how much I wish Brian was helping him, then giggle and thought I doubt Brian could have reached!

We started the night off by having the girls put the tree together without the help of their little brother. Then we drug out the lights and had to make some adjustments. Then we had our 1st Annual Pillow Fight, which is now a new traditions. I totally won the pillow fight until we had to go around on our knees! At the end we did silly things, like when I hit someone I had to say Santa Claus, and Amberlea said Merry Christmas, Rachel said Happy Holidays and Tye said Ho, Ho, Ho. Then we changed it and decided to say Bah Humbug! just to be silly. Tye was giggling so hard and running around hitting people, saying Bugga Bugga. The girls and I got a good laugh!
All in all, the decorating went well. I tried to dig around and find the Jeff Gordon ornaments for the Daddy tree. Looking through all the Gordon things didn't upset me until I found his hat in one of the tubs. It still smelled like him. It went south from there, and I was glad we were done and had fun before I lost it.
We were out of school at noon today for all the snow. I'm not sure about tomorrow, but so far the snow has stopped, so I'm guessing we'll still have school. It was a nice afternoon to get the house cleaned up a little.

Okay, so call me crazy...but the Christmas tree is not in the front room is it? That wall color is nice, but it doesn't look like what I pictured pomegranate to be. Loved the pillow fight tradition story...I imagine "bugga bugga" will by synonymous with "bah humbug" for years to come in your home - just as "fundant" and "elephant" are in ours.

Love you guys, Teak

Amberlea told us all about the 1st annual pillow fight! It sounds like it really helped make the occasion a little more happy for you all!
I will sending some extra "pieces" with Amberlea today to make an ornament for Brians tree. I thought she would enjoy doing this.
Hang in there Jenni- We're thinking about you and praying for your family!

Great pictures, but I really was hoping to see some of the pomegranate color. I am sure it looks great! Maybe you can post some later!
