6:15 a.m. on April 13th - another family loses a loved one
Mark, 41 years old, now free of suffering
Please pray for his wife Courtenay.
I keep thinking if I just keep posting all those I know of who are lost to melanoma, you readers will keep just being blown away by the madness of this disease...blown away enough to repeat what you've read, to check your own skin, to practice safe sun activities while still having fun, and to make each day more precious than ever.

Jenni, my family and I have been faithful followers of Brian and your family's journey with melanoma via MPIP. We are a family of 8 children who lost our mom to melanoma last summer so we know the devastation. We have kept you in our thoughts and prayers and speak of you often. We started a foundation in honor of our mom, OUR M.O.M., Inc. (Our Mark On Melanoma) and our first fundraiser is Saturday, 5/10/08, in St. Louis. Knowing you are close, I wanted to reach out and let you know about the event - we would be honored to have your family attend and please know we will be honoring Brian and the many others who suffer/suffered this horrible disease. Please check out our website for details, if you'd like. There will be a walk/run, lunch, entertainment, lots of kids and tons of sponsors/participants all raising money to make a difference. www.ourmominc.com. You can also email me at elizshocklee@yahoo.com. Also, wanted to let you know what a great idea your scholarship program is - even though we never knew Brian personally it is quite evident how important education is in your lives! With love, Beth Shocklee
