Consequences of Melanoma

I am going to try to keep my blog posts separated this month, since my intention is to include extensive info on melanoma. I also want to still update you on how our family is doing, so I may often post twice a day, so be sure to double check when you log on.

Attached are pictures that depict the consequences of melanoma. Tye has been saying since Easter that he wanted to fly his kite so Daddy could see it, and today we went to the cemetery. As I ran and chased him, I shuttered to think how Brian longed to chase Tye. It was a special moment of feeling close to Brian in the breeze.

I know there are a lot of pictures, but they are so pathetically cute that I just had to include them all. This was Tye's first time to fly a kite, and I'm glad Brian could be with us. A few of the pictures caught Tye dancing too, if it looks like he is in a funny pose! I have promised to take the girls next week if it is still windy!
Another thing...Brian's grave looks blah right now because they cleaned up the cemetery over the weekend. They filled in more dirt (it was sunken terribly) and seeded it down, and it is so windy that I haven't put any new flowers out there just yet. The monument has flower holders. Anyway, I feel kind of bad that the grave looks so, what is the word, dirt-like? I think Tye and I will take grass seed with us since he tromped all over the grave!

Above is me ducking because the kite was doing some dips and about took me out when I was trying to smile at the camera man! I had the kite attached to the name post on Brian's grave during some of these pictures.

What a fun day for the two of you. Keep those memories alive. Curious about that picture of Brian at the top.
