Welcome to my month long crusade to educate you about melanoma. I have so many things I want to share with you. Please check back often to read stories about loss and hope, and find resources and education that could save your life or the life of someone you love. Share with me in helping Brian's legacy continue.

It is important for me to point out that Brian's melanoma did not fit the ABCDE criteria. In fact, we know numerous melanoma patients whose primary didn't look like any of the pictures. However, a lot of them likely did fit the newly pegged "Ugly Duckling Sign". And sadly, so did Brian's. He knew it didn't look right and so did his family. His was more perfectly round, the size and color of a pencil eraser. I'll talk more on that later. What Brian decided to do about that spot is irrelevant to our battle, but I can only pray it will make a difference in your life. We all make decisions in our life, and in Brian's words, he never could fathom that it would be cancer.
But maybe I can convince you...

Jenni,
Have you considered setting up a foundation in your husband's name associated with fighting melanoma? You seem very well-educated on melanoma and very determined to help fight the disease. This world needs people like you!
Love,
A Stranger supporting you
