Palm Sunday

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

I’m sorry I have not posted all week. This has been the first week in a long time that actually felt somewhat normal, other than Brian still being off work. Our home seemed to function at its normal rate and efficiency, and Brian continues to feel better each day. He is still pretty sore, but the pain is progressively improving. Brian enjoyed a visit into school on Friday, and thought it felt good to be there. He really misses everyone and hopes to return soon. We journeyed out today to Palm Sunday Mass, and Brian still finds that little trips just exhaust him. His drain output continues to decrease.

We’re hoping for another quiet week, as he nears the end of his first round of chemo. The only side effect he has really noticed is an increase in body temperature. He runs a slight temp and feels hot several times throughout the day, but considers this minor in the big scheme of things. We pray that this drug will help his body kill off any melanoma.

We are gearing up for Brian’s next set of scans. He has an MRI on Easter Monday, and we pray that God has answered our prayers in having the surgery heal his body. We look forward to picking up the pieces of our lives and moving forward. May we always work to glorify His name. We are thankful for God carrying us through these difficult weeks and are blessed to have Him holding us in the palm of His hand. We pray for Brian’s continued healing in the weeks to come.

Many blessings to you all,
Jenni

Praying for continued grace for your family as you work through these trials, and the best possible outcome from the MRI on Monday.
