I came across this very interesting article regarding the link between Parkinson's and melanoma. The investigators found that a family history of melanoma almost doubled the likelihood of developing Parkinson's disease.

While I'm not thrilled to learn of the possible link, I can only hope something positive could come from this knowledge. Possibly doctors will be able to better screen for both diseases; and who knows, maybe there will be advancement in the treatments by borrowing research from each field. Otherwise, it just make me worry about Tye and other family members that much more.
Still, I find it quite interesting...
