Whoa! I was directed to a blog today for Jeff Dodd, who turned 36 in May, just a few months older than Brian. He is taking a lashing, and melanoma has dealt the worst of its blows. His story, his struggles, his treatments...I've been there. I had to stop reading for now because it was too much like a road I've already been down.
He has two daughters, 13 and 8, and two sons, 6 and 1. He has asked today for prayers for his wife Kelly, as he knows the cross she bears is excruciating in its own right. They have told their children, as the doctors have given him weeks or months. He is also seeing Dr. Richards, as Brian and Sean did. There are no great treatments for melanoma right now, and those who do benefit are in the minority.
Please offer prayers for this young family as their journey gets even more difficult.
