Below is an update from Damien. I have mentioned Jessica before. She is the one who found out she was pregnant and due in March 08. In September she found out she had melanoma. Their baby was delivered in December so she could start treatments. Things have gone downhill since then. Please say some extra prayers for her, as well as Damien and their baby.

Jessica was moved from our home to an in patient hospice facility today. She is preparing to leave us and I suspect it will be soon. She fought so bravely.
We are very thankful for the support and guidance of all on this board.

I have recently shifted the focus of this blog back to follow the title. I fight melanoma everyday in the loss of Brian, in the loss of the girls' stepdad, and in the loss of Tye's daddy. At the one year anniversary of Brian's death, I decided to start a new blog about our family. I am keeping this blog to continue to share things on melanoma and other cancers, and rant and rave about how much it sucks to be a widow. It seemed in my mind that the time had come to split those. Aside from my focus to care for my husband and children, I'm on a mission to save you too!
