Brian is still requiring a lot of breakthrough pain medication. He is sleeping mostly, especially if we can get him in a position to relieve some pain. It is difficult to see him like this. He visits briefly if he is awake, but it is short lived. These past few days have been the most constant pain I have seen him in for a while. My prayers have turned to those that might relieve Brian's suffering. He isn't even able to really enjoy any moments right now. I can only pray that God would give us more quality time.
Today was not as good as yesterday. I pray tonight that tomorrow might bring some relief. I continue to pray tonight for Ethan and Keith, and for so many others who are suffering.

I have recently shifted the focus of this blog back to follow the title. I fight melanoma everyday in the loss of Brian, in the loss of the girls' stepdad, and in the loss of Tye's daddy. At the one year anniversary of Brian's death, I decided to start a new blog about our family. I am keeping this blog to continue to share things on melanoma and other cancers, and rant and rave about how much it sucks to be a widow. It seemed in my mind that the time had come to split those.
