Comments Anyone?

Several people have mentioned to me that they were unable to post a comment on our blog. I dismissed it at first, mostly just because I am still trying to get used to utilizing the blog, which can be somewhat user-friendly, and somewhat frustrating! Then I started realizing that it was more than just a few people who were trying to comment, and I am not really surprised because we barely get any comments. I guess when an average of about 125-150 are visiting daily, I figured there must be something wrong with why there are no comments.

I decided tonight to do some digging, and I think I found the glitch. I changed a selection on my settings that I didn't know existed...ha! and hopefully that will do the trick.

I keep up with blogs from Bryce and Mike, stage IV melanoma warriors close in age to Brian. Their wives mention reading the blog comments to their husbands, and how it helps them know so many care. So often I find myself repeating things that people have said to me because Brian is so far out of the loop since he isn't working, and I would love to be able to shower him with positive encouragement. I don't think he realized until I started showing him the site meter just how many people were checking on us each day.

So...if you want to try out the comments again, go for it. I should know in a day or so if my adjustments worked. I promise to read the comments to Brian.

Take care...

Hi Brian and Jenny; I have been a follower of your journey for quite some time and yes, I have tried to post unsuccessfully. I am so glad to hear that things are going a little bit better. I continue to pray for your restored health. My husband is in the same battle as you...Stage IV melanoma. Hang in there and keep fighting the fight!

Thanks, Jenny for keeping such great updates. The pictures are wonderful. I was so happy to hear that you were able to get to "Wicked". We had tickets in NY a month back but Dave took an unexpceted turn for the worse and we had to cancel. I'm hopeful that we'll get there someday.

Tara

Godspeed...

Hi Brian and Jenny,
I am Linda (mom to John) on the mpip site and I have been following your blog. My John is 26 and stage four with many of the same problems as Brian. John had gamma knife on brian mets this summer and then a brain bleed left him paralysed on his left side. Fortunately the movement has returned but he is still in a bad way with a heart tumor the size of a fist. John is currently doing cisplatin, vinblastin and DTIC chemo cocktail. Il-2 and CTLA therapy has not been successful. John has a 13 month old son and a lovely wife to help him in this fight. I follow Mike and Liz, and Bryce and Tammy too. My John lives in Marysville, Ohio. Kind of wierd when you talk about maryville. We believe in miracles!

Isn't it wonderful how God uses others to encourage and help us in our needs?! Your entire family is in my prayers constantly. Having gone through chemo and radiation for breast cancer seven years ago, I can somewhat sympathize, but it hurts me to think of the constant pain Brian endures. And I know it is very difficult for those of you who watch him and can't really do anything except be there for him. I want to give words of encouragement, but what DOES one say? Just know that your are in my thoughts and prayers, and I cry with you. Love and blessings, Susan

I am trying the comment thing again. Glad to hear that things are going well. I must say I really enjoyed waking Tye up today and finding green residue all over his pillow. I asked him if he was turning into an alien! We got quite a chuckle out of it! Always praying for you!

Hi Brian and Family. This is Mat aka Yoda. Halley, I just thought I'd say howdy to you while I'm here reading the blog. I'm trying to think... I guess we probably haven't seen each other since college at MWSC... man, that seems like ages ago to me. Those were the days, huh? It is very kind of of your wife to keep everyone updated through this blog. Thanks, Jenny for doing all of this. Your work is very appreciated. As far as updates on me go... I live in Colorado now. Lots to do out here and I'm liking it quite a bit. I've probably grown up a lot over the years... heck, you might not even recognize me. I'm mostly the same old Yoda though I guess. Anyway, I thought I'd just let you know I've been keeping up with the blog and that I keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Love & Prayers,
Mat
