Brian has been asking what day it is and what time it is all day. He seems to be trying to keep things straight. He has rested comfortably and has not required the breakthrough meds as much over the past 24 hours, and hopefully this is a turn for the better. He continues to sleep nearly around the clock, but has been awake for a while tonight once his brother arrived. I'm battling him trying to discipline Tye, which is not a good idea from a daddy who hasn't done more than say hi and I love you for the past week. This is a battle between Brian and I that has gone on all through his treatment. I don't want Tye to remember Brian as the dad that got on him and didn't do anything else. A lot of times, this battle comes when Brian doesn't even realize he's been out of it. Today seems to be like that, although it is going ok.
Brian's respirations are not what I had hoped. The count is ranging from 9-12, sometimes up to 14, sometimes 8. This is mostly when he is in a deep sleep. His temp is also low, ranging around 97. These are all signs that things are changing, but don't necessarily tell us when or how. So for now, we will just continue to keep him comfortable and pray that he will be able to enjoy us too.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Please keep Ethan and Keith in your prayers.

Jenni,
You, Brian, and the kids are in my thoughts daily. This is such a tough battle and it makes me wonder how everyone gets through times like these, but we do it. Stay strong Jenni, I know it's hard. Please feel free to get a hold of me if you need anything or just want to talk or vent or whatever! Best wishes,
Nicole and Sean(Stage IV melanoma)
