Yes, that t-shirt does say MELANOMA SUCKS! Thanks Jane from Maine for the t-shirt. Brian has not worn this shirt out in town because of its offensive manner (I think it is mild, considering how evil and unfair this disease has been to Brian), and did wear it to the appointment when we found out his disease had progressed...how appropriate! He decided to wear it to the Busch race on Saturday so all the people who stared at him would know what was wrong with him. He says people stare at him, and I've decided he is right. I think it is just human nature, curiousity, concern. I do think that Calvin and the tanning bed got several looks...and hey, if it makes someone stop and think about that guy they saw at Kansas Speedway that one time who looked like someone had taken a baseball bat to him, but it was because of melanoma, then the shirt is worth it.

We've spent a lot of time being sad lately, and it felt good to be together and have fun.
