The Big 3-5!

Brian on his 35th birthday on Friday,
with Tye and me in the front,
and Amberlea (left) and Rachel (right) in the back.

Brian with his parents (Phillip and Denise) and his brother (Todd).

Just before blowing out the candles...he put the fire out in one huff.
There weren't 35 candles,
but the candles were arranged as a "35".
Wonder what he wished for...??
I have no idea why my camera incorrectly noted the date...oops.
Friday was a very busy day for Brian. He started out the door at 9:30 with Duesing (friend from school) to meet his sub for this fall. Duesing took him to therapy at 11, then ran him home just before noon. He grabbed a quick shower before heading out the door to what he thought was lunch with the 7th grade team. She took him to A&G and I snuck out and followed. He was pretty surprised to find 40 people waiting for him to surprise him at lunch! It was good to see everyone, people from both Maryville Middle School and St. Gregory's, plus other friends. We know so many others were there in thought, as well. It was a good day to see friends for his birthday, and also before starting chemo.

He rested in the afternoon. Then we grilled out for supper with the 5 of us and Phillip, Denise, Todd, Jamie, Trace, my dad, my Grandma Hallie, Erin, TJ, Tori, Don, Adam, Zeke (Karis was in Dallas on Mary Kay business), Jacob and Rosie. It was loud and noisy with great food and it felt good to be together.

We are gearing up for tomorrow, and will be leaving in a few hours. We expect things to go smoothly. I ask for your prayers, as Brian will have a fresh set of scans in the morning, and we pray that the Lord has kept his disease at bay while he was healing from the craniotomy.

Thank you for standing by this and for your continued prayers.

Jenni

Not a day goes by that Chad & I don't pray--really pray--for you & Brian and the kiddos. No matter where you are or what the status, I hope you can feel that abiding love and protection.
